ACNE MANAGEMENT setting on MediLUX (blue & red)

 

Frequency:
1–2x per week, 20 mins, for 4–8 weeks

Contraindicated:
Photosensitising medication, melasma, eczema

CARBON FACIAL

Contraindicated:
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, cancer, chemotherapy, radiation, photosensitising medication, St John’s Wort in the last 4 weeks, use of Accutane, Roaccutane, Oratane in the last 6 months, use of prescription VIT A (Tretinoin or Retin-A) in the last 2 weeks, active infections or inflammation (herpes), tanned or sunburnt skin, epilepsy, surgical metal pins/plates in area, use of antibiotics (we will need to check what it is), cosmetic procedures in the last 2-4 week.

Skin Prep: 

  • 1-2 weeks prior – No pharmaceutical VIT A (Tretinoin or Retin-A), no active sun exposure or tanning beds, no skin treatments such as chemical peels, microneedling or laser treatments 

  • 3 days before – stop use of actives (glycolic, salicylic, lactic acids, retinols)

 

Post-Tx Recommendations: 

  • 24-48 hours – No sauna, steam room, hot shower, intense exercise, no picking or scratching skin, no heavy makeup

  • 2-5 days – no exfoliation, active ingredients

  • 2 weeks – no direct sun exposure 
     

Frequency:

Every 2-4 weeks depending on skin concerns, 6-8 weeks for maintenance 

CRYSTAL PEEL

Contraindications:
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, irritated or broken skin, herpes, skin lesions (known or unknown origin), active eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, allergies, salicylism, active sunburn, cosmetic procedures in the last 2–4 weeks

Frequency:
Every 2 weeks for the first 4 treatments

 

Maintenance:

4–6 weekly

Skin Prep:

  • 1–2 weeks prior – No pharmaceutical VIT A (Tretinoin or Retin-A), no active sun exposure or tanning beds, no skin treatments such as chemical peels, microneedling, or laser treatments

  • 3 days before – Stop use of actives (glycolic, salicylic, lactic acids, retinols)
